Seeing an article by Moonlight about learning methods tonight sparked an impulse in me to update my blog, even though the campus network has already been cut off.
The learning methods Moonlight mentioned are not the traditional “reading methods” but focus more on information or knowledge acquisition in the internet era.
Reflecting on my experiences over the years, I find that my methods are quite similar to Moonlight’s. Since he specializes in the internet field, his methods are naturally more “sophisticated.”
The most common way I acquire information is still through Google + Google Reader. I occasionally browse microblogs and portal websites when bored, but I feel a significant issue is that while information acquisition is abundant, my lack of focus is my biggest flaw.
Besides computers, my phone is also a major way I acquire knowledge and information, including but not limited to email subscriptions, mobile internet browsing, and client RSS feeds. Among these, email has become my most favored method in recent years because real-time push notifications and phone alerts constantly drive me to open emails and extract useful information.
However, this also has its drawbacks. While I can access a vast amount of information on my phone, the inability to save or share it effectively is a significant regret.
There are many ways to acquire information, but the methods for saving it are more limited. The most common method is emailing myself, but after years of sending emails, my Gmail has over 8,000 emails, and my QQ mailbox has accumulated 3GB of emails. A large amount of information is effectively lost at sea, as I rarely have the opportunity to revisit them.
Another method, as mentioned by Moonlight, is WordPress. This blog is not primarily for my personal information storage but more for summarizing life and learning experiences. The newly established site, note.tk, was initially intended to develop in this direction, although it currently contains many trivial records.
Recently, I’ve noticed a few trends, though I’m not sure how accurate they are:
First, I feel like I’m gaining weight: today I suddenly realized that a pair of pants I used to wear often is a bit tight, but I still managed to put them on. It wasn’t until I went to take a shower that I realized I’ve really gained weight.
Second, I feel like my eyesight might be declining during the bar exam review. Although I’ve maintained 20/20 vision despite countless abuses over the past 20 years, I have a strong预感 that my vision might now fluctuate between 20/30 and 20/20. It’s possible that after the bar exam, my vision might drop to 20/30.
Third, I feel like my physical condition is deteriorating, even though I’ve just turned 20. One sign is that the lunula (the white crescent at the base of my fingernails) has significantly shrunk, which is said to be a sign of changes in physical health.
